Vehicle/Antenna Orientation - Order of Operations

What is the order of operations that Skydel accounts for yaw, pitch, and roll to determine SV power levels? Is the same order of operations used for the vehicle orientation and antenna orientation?

Hi @mallory.flynn ,

there was a bit of debate internally, because we didn’t all understand your question the same way.
So here’s an attempted answer, and if we’re off the mark, please let us know so we can address your issue properly.

In fact, it’s just a snippet from the user manual (Six Degrees of Freedom section):

The rotation angles are yaw, pitch and roll in the NED reference frame. The x axis points north, the y axis points east, and the z axis points towards the center of the Earth. The first rotation is around z axis, the second around y axis and the third around the x axis. This transformation is also known as 3-2-1.

Please let us know if this helps or if you need further clarification.

Thanks,
