Skydel update

Hi,
Our team has a Skydel academic license (former OAPP program). If we update Skydel to its latest version, will the license stop working?

Hi emlopez,

You can find this information on the Skydel user website.

Before any upgrade, you need to check in the Help menu > About Skydel… the field Simulator Upgradable to.

Hi,

I download the deb file. Could you provide the ubuntu command to upgrade Skydel?

Hi @kolee ,

Did you already have a Skydel version installed on your Ubuntu?
If not, a simple double click on the .deb should be OK, else you can go to a terminal and use the following command:

$ sudo dpkg -i /path/to/your/deb/name-of-file.deb

Thanks Irene for your prompt response. I have a GSG-7 and it has Skydel already. Do I need to uninstall the old one first?

Hi @kolee ,

If you use the command, you do not need to uninstall the old version!

If you don’t want to use the terminal, you should uninstall the old version then install the new one.
