OAPP Has a New Name: Minerva

We are excited to announce that the Orolia Academic Partner Program has been renamed to Minerva! This new name reflects Safran Electronics & Defense’s commitment to providing support, through our innovative solutions, to the academia world focused on PNT.

The goddess of wisdom, Minerva, is often associated with knowledge, innovation, and creativity, which makes her the perfect inspiration for our academic program. We believe that Minerva embodies the spirit of our efforts that are dedicated to supporting professors and students as they learn and uncover new breakthroughs in the world of PNT.

As of today, Minerva is proud to boast nearly 60 members and dozens of published papers. As a commitment to supporting academia and the future of PNT, a donation of Skydel software, our leading-edge GNSS simulation engine, is made to Minerva members that are researching and working on pushing the barriers of GNSS technology.

The Skydel software is a powerful simulation engine that provides students a flexible testing tool for exploring and experimenting with different scenarios, constellations, and conditions. These tools provide students and professors the resources they need to excel in their studies and become leaders in their field.

We are thrilled to launch the new Minerva academic program and are excited to see what the future holds for both this innovative education initiative, and our program’s members – the future of PNT.
